I recently got into both USC and UCLA and am trying to make a final decision between the two of them. I'm from NY so I'll be heading out west. I'm leaning towards UCLA though. I think that if you stay in Cali, both schools are pretty comparable. However once you leave Cali, USC's name begins to lose...

I got dinged!

However i got into USC, which was what I was really hoping for (I want to be on the West coast). So I'm pretty happy overall. At this point I'm just waiting to hear from UCLA.

Might as well throw my name on the list too. I'm a round 2 applicant, so I'll be hearing by April 1. I have not been contacted for an interview yet, so I'm assuming that I'm going to be rejected. I figure I would have been asked to interview at this point if I actually had a shot. My profile: GMAT: ...

Anyone Nervous For April 1?

I hear from two of my schools on April 1st, and am literally counting the seconds until that day gets here. I've gotten into a few schools so far, but am really looking forward to hearing from USC. I'll also be getting notification for NYU. Anyone else looking to get answers from their schools on 4/1?

Dinged! No interview. Oh well, can't win em all. Sorry to hear about the ding. Are you waiting to hear back from any other schools? I'm in OK shape. I've already gotten into BU, Maryland and UC Irvine with scholarships! Waiting to hear from USC, UCLA, NYU and Georgetown. Columbia would have been ni...

Sounds like it might be another month or so. It looks like they take around 2 months to respond. Fingers are crossed though!

Is there any reason you think you were dinged? Sounds like you were a very strong candidate

I'm really sorry to hear about all these Columbia rejections! I'm a 710 GMAT, 3.3 gpa. I had very very solid essays and stellar recommendations from the president and vp of my company, but from what you guys are saying it seems as if i have no chance. I applied in mid February. Keeping the good vibe...

I used only the Manhattan GMAT guides, and official GMAT guides. I got a 710, so I'm going to say yes. I also used some of Manhattan's online stuff to, I found it very helpful.

Good luck!

I'm really happy I can provide a bit of inspiration to everyone! Here's a debrief of my GMAT timeline, sorry its so long. I took a Manhattan GMAT class in May, with the original goal of taking the test by July or early August (wow did that end up getting pushed back!). Although I think the class was...

A Little Inspiration For Those Who Are Struggling

Hey all, I took the GMAT yesterday (for the second time) and got a 710, 92nd percentile in verbal and 76th percentile in quant. I just wanted to share this because I'm that guy who cracks under pressure during tests. I'm the kid who studies for months and months and then takes a practice test and sc...

Did I beat the GMAT?

Hey guys, I just got back from taking the GMAT a few minutes ago. I've been studying for months and got a 650. I'm not quite happy, but not quite upset. I know its a decent score but I was hoping to do a little better. However my score is HEAVILY weighted towards verbal. I got in the 53 percentile f...
