Why must I pay strict attention to what you say? If I forget it, I can just re-read it (It's not like you're speaking to me...)
Congrats on your score! I'm sure you'll do even better the next time.

I would spend some time honestly evaluating your GMAT strengths and weaknesses. I scored 670 (Q44 V38) on my first attempt and re-evaluated my performance in each subject. This reflection revealed my weaknesses as data sufficiency and critical reasoning. I purchased PowerScore's CR Bible and highly ...

Agree! I really don't care if you're disappointed with a 730. If you take the time to share your story, how about you share your story and not your negative emotions associated with your performance? After all, people don't care about how bad you feel after a 730. They care about your preparation fo...

Get the CR Bible. I scored V38 on my first GMAT attempt and then realized that CR was one of my weaknesses. After purchasing and studying the Bible, I re-took the GMAT and scored V44. I owe much of that improvement to the CR Bible - get it!

It's tough to say. I scored 640 on the free MGMAT CAT about 2-3 weeks prior to my GMAT. After studying more in those week preceding the test, I scored 750 on test day. In general, my MGMAT and Kaplan scores were always lower than my GMATPrep scores.

For CR, I highly recommend PowerScore's CR Bible. I scored 670 (V38) on my first GMAT attempt and subsequently identified CR as a serious weakness. Within a month of that first attempt, I purchased the CR Bible and studied the book's fundamentals and examples. I re-took the GMAT about two weeks afte...

Letters of Recommendation
I'm looking for good links to articles written about letters of recommendation. I'd like tips about how to "package" the request to the recommenders. Additionally, in my current job of 3+ years (airline pilot), I don't have a direct supervisor. Instead, I work with new and different people...

Re: two weeks to go !
Also, if i am aiming for a 750 is it worth to take the test and hope for it without even crossing it in a single prep test? I was aiming for 700 on my second attempt. My practice scores on the GMATPrep were 690, 690, 710, 730 (re-took each test). However, my actual GMAT score was 750, so have confi...

Hi Lisa, Thanks for your help. I have an additional question regarding letters of recommendation. As an airline pilot, I do not work with the same supervisor on a daily basis. Instead, I work with new people and supervisors all the time. Since finding recommenders is somewhat challenging for me, I'd...

750 (Q49 V44) Thanks BTG!
I just finished my second attempt at the GMAT with a 750 (Q49 V44). It's been quite a journey that started back in April 2009 with periodic studying and high aspirations. I scored a disappointing 670 in my first attempt one month ago, but I was determined to hit 700+. However, I wasn't expecting a 7...

Read Question Stem First?
The Powerscore CR Bible suggests reading the stimulus first and then reading the question stem. However, some books, like Kaplan, suggest doing the opposite - read the question stem first and then read the stimulus. Thoughts?

I scored 670 on my first GMAT attempt and am preparing to take the test again in two weeks. I completed OG12 and Kaplan Premier and have identified CR and DS as my weakest areas. In the next two weeks, should I focus on... (1) studying the OG questions and solutions or (2) try to do more questions f...

Powerscore CR Bible - just 3 weeks to go?
I've scheduled my second attempt at the GMAT - in three weeks. I have identified critical reasoning as my weakest subject - should I buy the Powerscore CR bible with just 3 weeks remaining?
