Hello Ron, I might miss something here. But here's my thoughts: 1. The argument is built on a causal relationship, ie, because "workforce with college degrees will increase", "average salary will increase too". 2. Assumption must be built upon some fact that there's no other reas...

Let x and y be the cost for skis and boots.
x(1+0.2)=96 --> x=80
y((1-0.1)=160 --> y=177.78

Total cost = 80+177.78=257.78
Total sales = 160+96=256
Profit/Loss = Sales-Cost = 256-257.78 = -1.78

Losss of -$1.78. Answer is A.

It's a question testing knowledge on arithmetic progression. And it's quite tricky because it's also testing knowledge on sets. For any arithmetic progression, a1, a2, ..., an, if we know common difference d, first number a1, and last number an, we can calculate how many numbers there are in the seq...

From the question, we will know that:
x=4
y=4n (n is positive integer, because y/4=n)

Therefore, x^y=4^(4n)=256^n

It's easy to see that unit digit of 256^n is 6.

The OA is E. And I don't think it's the right answer. (Source is not reliable btw). I think the fundamental assumption of the survey is to survey people who at least watch tv. If they don't, then the whole survey is meaningless. Choice A is such an assumption. Choice E is one step away from that ass...

The OA is E. It's clearly a wrong answer. The source of this question is from some online GMAT test prep. It's not very reliable. I think D is the only reasonable answer.

The growing popularity of computer-based activities was widely expected to result in a decline in television viewing, since it had been assumed that people lack sufficient free time to maintain current television-viewing levels while spending increasing amounts of free time on the computer.
