Got my official report and a 5.5 on AWA. Hopefully that helps explain that I am not too bad at verbal skills.

I knew it before hand, plus I saw it on the screen, so my bad. But that did not affect me in Quant at all. So, I am not too worried about it. Which schools are you applying?

GMAT complete - 730 (Q-50, V-38) Uneven Split - Advise
Today I gave the GMAT and scored a 730 (Q-50, V-38). I started off with an MGMAT prep course (two months). MGMAT is really good for Quant. Verbal, I am not too sure, it could be me. I was not too confident about CR so, I purchased Powerscore CR bible. I think, that book is really good. Anyways here ...

I ruled out (D) and (E) like everybody. But was really stuck with (A), (B) and (C). Then I focused on the differences: (A) share the same...as (B) share the same...with (C) have the same...as The meaning is subtle but one of importance. The "residents" in question here are not sharing the ...

I go with E too. Very long question. I think the correct idiom is "DURING it's second day OF". That eliminates A,B,D. C ends improperly...linger about....I think linger within applies better.

I am no expert, but when I initially saw this question and saw option (A), I felt there has to be better one. Turns out, all the remaining four were worse than (A) and here is why: (B) 2 "and"s at the end is not preferred. (C)The opposite problem here - no "and"s - with three cla...

Can you tell the source, found it actually tough and was not very sure of the meaning. I just guessed D, as it sounded right---not the best strategy.

Ok, so here is how I arrived at C. Eliminate (D)(E). They have the word "which", which is my favorite word in SC ;-). "which" always modifies the word immediately preceding it, and we are not interested in the feet, but the creature. Again, in (A), it is not clear, if 36 feet or ...

I think "means to" is correct. As they say"___ is a means to an end."
Thus C,D and E are out.
B changes the meaning - development economically is thrifty development.
Thus (A) is the only correct answer.

As per MGMAT SC guide, a noun in a clause can be referenced as a pronoun in another cluase, if both are in the same place. "High oil prices" and "they" are in the same place in both the clauses. Hence I picked (A).

Here is how I picked my answer: The word "which" is essential here. Without which, the sentence could mean that the construction was call the Flavian amphitheater. "Which" modifies the word it touches. Hence left with (A), (C). (A) has no "and" causing a run on sentence...

I picked E although it did not sound very right to me. Because - GMAT wants you to pick the least wrong answer sometimes. The question has been smartly phrased to not underline "the", so some folks may miss "the". But it is "the" that was most helpful. All choices from ...
