Wow, it’s been a long journey. I started to study a few days before the end of last year in 2008 and finished a few days ago. That puts my GMAT stint at about 6.5 months. So don’t let anyone tell you how long you SHOULD study. I was prepared to study for over a year! I would have taken 5 GMAT tests ...

The word "renaissance" gives the reasoning for why (C) is correct. It was once popular, then lost popularity, and then became popular again.

I say (D).

I was between (A) and (D). I eliminated (A) because the stimulus states that "nearly all" mail that is correctly addresses arrives at its destination within two business days. Therefore, (A) cannot be correct.

A is NOT stated in the stimulus. Individuals seeking to control the corporation for their own purposes have demanded my resignation is not the same as The chairman believes that all those who have demanded his resignation are motivated by desire to control the corporation for their own purposes.

I will have to go with (C). What if the cake were left in the hot sun for 3 days, then shoved in the 'fridge? The it's certainly possible for the cake to have started to form mold after a few days, rather than a week. Statement (C) clears this from being possible. So I believe (C) strengthens the st...

w and v could NOT both be negative because a negative number + a negative number is never a positive number. Therefore, you don't need to worry about this situation.

AJ, for (1), x can be 0 or 2. Forgetting the 0 is the tricky part.

Hello Jose,

Thank you for your explanation! I too gave the same explanations, but GMAC had the wrong explanation for (2), so I just wanted to make sure it wasn't me.

bulla4life wrote:Hey Feep,

Option 2 is insufficient too

a.
What if x is 6 and z is 7.

Z is closer to 10.

the average of 6 and 10 is 8.

it means z is less then the average
If z is closer to 10 than 6, then z is greater than 8.
