re
Sophia, thank you very much for your insights and questions! :) It helped a lot to clarify my thoughts. Sorry, I think I skipped the motivation part from my profile. The main reasons to enroll in an MBA at this point would be: 1. International career - although I worked at multinational consulting f...

I agree with enniguy, the evidence is presented only for people who survived, but conclusion is drawn for all the people, so the only valid answer is E.

I think it's 15/56. Total number of groups of 3 persons to be selected out of 8: 8!/(3!*5!)= 56 Total number of groups containing George = number of posibilities to selected 2 people out of 7 (1 place is taken by George): 7!/(2!*5!)= 21. Total number of groups containing George AND Marge: 6!/(1!*5!)...

I also think it's 3/14. Total number of possible groups of 4 persons selected out of 8 is: 8!/(4!*4!) = 70. If both both Bart and Lisa must be in the group, than there are left only 2 places for the other 6 students, so the total number of possible groups including both Bart and Lista is equal to th...

median of 3 positive number - GMATPrep(TM) question
"Is z equal to the median of the three positive integers, x, y and z? (1) x < y + z; (2) y = z." The official answer is B . My answer is E. Why? A - no clear answer, as it can be: - x < y + z => 4< 2+3 => z is median - x< y + x => 4< 2 + 7 => z is not median; B - no clear answer, as is can...

Hi mooraj, I also want to improve my score for a second attempt, so I can share with you my strategy, maybe it's helpful. I think would be good to start with the application deadline: it's necessary to apply in spring - (march 31)? Or can it wait until fall? You would have longer period to focus on ...

Congratulations! Great score!
Took GMAT 3 days ago, same problem as you, different outcome: good quant (48), poor verbal (32), final 650. Fully agree, should not freak out in case of mistakes.
Intend to take again, should focus on SC, thanks for improvement technique.
Good luck for application!

... beaten by the GMAT - 650 (Q:48, V: 32, AWA: 5.5)
Well, I took this morning the test, had an awful non-sleeping night and due to unusual traffic jam, I was close not to arrive in time to the exam ... :evil: Very dissapointed, I missed close my taget (680 - 720 range) - I scored more than I was used to in quant (43-45) and awfully lower in verbal (3...

Congratulations rakeshmathur! Your post it's really refreshing, 'cause I just took a CAT in week-end and scored 510!! : :evil: :shock: ...well, maybe the envrironemt was'nt good, because when I revieved my quant sections, 90% of the errors were due to not paying attention to simple calculus...in the...
