Re: How many multiples of 3 are there between 10 and 90, inclusive?
sequence = 12,15,18...87,90
total terms between 0 &90 divisible by 3 = 90/3 =30
terms less than 10 which are divisible by 3 = 3
terms between 10 &90 divisible by 3 = 30-3 = 27

Re: Marty has a right circular cylindrical pool of diameter 12 feet and his neighbor, Rusty, has a right circular cylind
Volume(v) = \(\pi\) r \(^{r^2}\) h
r1= 6
r2 = 9
height of both pools is equal
we have to calculate v2/v1
= \(^{r1^2}\) / \(^{r2^2}\)
= 81/36
=2.25

ratio 5:3:2:6
total fruits = 5x+3x+2x+6x = 64
16x = 64
x= 4
banana = 3x = 12
cantaloupes =2x = 8
now 4 cantaloupes are added , cantaloupes =12
new ratio 12:12 = 1:1

If it takes 10 minutes to inspect one vehicle, the number of vehicles that can be inspected in 3 hours (180 minutes) = 180/10 = 18. Hence, for calculating the probability that the police will find the transmitter within three hours, the favorable cases = 18. Now, we need to figure out the total # of...

By using property of probability P(A) = 1-P(not A) A = when sum of dices is at least 4 not A = sum is less than 4 . The only possible option in sum is 3 which is(1,1,1) probability of (1,1,1) occurring P(not A) = \frac{1}{6} * \frac{1}{6} * \frac{1}{6} = \frac{1}{216} P(A) = 1- \frac{1}{216} = \frac...

Re: A retail appliance store priced a video recorder at 20 percent above the wholesale cost of $200...
retail price = 20% of 200 + 200 = 40+200 = 240
10% discount on retail price = 24
final price = 240-24 = 216
