Lisa, Thanks for the quick reply. Realistically, if I take the GMAT in the next couple of 3 weeks I might score around 720 and I agree that 20-30 points is not going to help out much. But, I am really worried about the 80/80 percentile cut off. Is that a myth or a fact?? I got 73 percentile in Verba...

Hey there, Here is my situation: GMAT - 690 (Q49 V35, AWA 5.0) This is on my second attempt. I got 640 on my 1st attempt. I was expecting at least 720 on my 2nd attempt because I was consistently scoring between 710-730 on GMAT prep and MGMAT. Education: MS in Metallurgy, University of Utah. GPA - 4...

Thanks for your post...While you are correct in that there is never a shortage of Indian males applying to US business schools, I wouldn't let it dissuade you. If you can cast a compelling vision for your post-MBA plan and rally the adcoms with an engaging story about why now is a great time for yo...

690 (q49 v 35)
Here is my story: 1st attempt: 12/8/2008 - 640 (I was hoping for 700) 2nd attempt: 8/24/2009 – 690 (I was hoping for 720+) 1st attempt: I was very unorganized, did not have a study plan, did not have any material. Yes the OA is D. I posted this question because i was terribly confused between D and E. I figured out that "they/those" refers to "land values" but I felt the parallelism should be with "rose" and not "land values" and hence chose E. I still am not clear on t...

Fantastic Job
I was very impressed with the way the solutions were presented and explained - very thorough step by step instructions.
I took Quizzes 1 and 4, but unfortunately missed quizzes 2 and 3. Is there a way i can take the expired quizzes??

I think we can rule out "D" because it changes the tense - "damaged", "slowed" not consistent with "is". Besides, the past tense changes the meaning and reflects that the damage was done in the past and no new damage is being done now. If we separate the paral...
