Thank you very much. I will continue to formulate a plan of action as I progress towards my application. I am seriously considering using a admissions consultant given how extreme the competition will be this year and the existing difficulty in gaining admissions to my targeted schools. Can you high...

Thanks for the valuable insight MarsellusW. I will take it to heart.
Happy new year everyone!
Edit: I've read online about one or a couple of schools giving feedback to candidates that had scored a 720 to retake the test....
any other encounters with this from anyone or people you know?

I think my profile isn't uncompetitive, nor is it a shoe in for a top 5. More so than having addition to having a higher score possibly giving me the smallest of advantageous, I am mainly retaking the test because I feel like I can do better. I do not plan to elect to have the scores sent to schools...

I do agree that 720 is very competitive for all the schools, but... it is not exceptional. It puts me in the conversations, with the rest of my qualifications determining my candidacy. I was hoping for an exceptional score, to nudge the AdComs my way. =) Plus my roommate scored a 750, so my competit...

logitech, you hit it on the nose..... I reported my scores to all the schools I wanted to apply to. I think I will take it again but elect to send scores to no schools. So that if I do worse, nobody will have to know. If I do better, I'll resend them. It is more of a personal challenge rather than a...

You hit it right on the mark Harryb. I am just worried that given the stiff competition, a 720 will seem question ordinary. Perhaps I feel inadequate about the rest of my profile and feel compelled to create some buzz via an exception GMAT score.

well... I should be happy but.....
I scored a 46 on quant. All my practice tests had been 48-51... so a bit disappointed there.
scored a 44 on verbal
for a 720.
I know that is good enough but I can't help but feel unsatisfied.....
What are the repercussions of retaking the test?

My journey so far included a Kaplan course that I started on 11/17 or so, and have been studying on and off since them. Mostly using their online material. I did also buy the MGMT SC guide, as I have heard positive feedback and SC is my weakest section. I scored a 670 (45Q, 35V) on Kaplan diagnostic...

Hi Swashbuckler, My problem is that I was ready 2 weeks ago but earliest test date available was 1/6. I think it's more that I am just not a very good student and don't really like studying. So after achieving my target scores in practice test, I lost motivation to study. At the minimum, I didn't ha...

GMAT preparation is beating me
After a relatively effective start to my GMAT studying, I have fell flat on my face. Over the past 2 weeks, my studying has hit a screeching halt. If I were burnt out, I should have more than recovered by now. But I am finding myself dragging on my feet. Is there anything I can do to get back on tra...
