Help! - Can logic be used to clarify references?

For a sentence where "it" refers to multiple things, if logically it can be inferred what "it" refers to, is the sentence still correct? i.e. When Elizabeth Cady Stanton drafted the Declaration of Sentiments that was adopted at the Seneca Falls Women's Rights Convention in 1848, ...
