Hi guys, I wrote GMAT last week and got score 690 v33 Q50, well below my expectations. Ii got better scores in the mock exams. 740 and 720 in last two MGMAT CATs and 710 in GMAT prep II. Referring to Q.3
I eliminated choice A because in Choice A "comparable skill that are usually held by men.", that is modifying skill so verb "are" is not correct.

Paes : yes, are is the right verb in this sentence. However that word was not underlined in the sentence. So, .. :roll:

A very important thing to note is that the grid structure is not really a symmetric one. ie counting the ways on the east and then doubling the number will not give the correct result.

A is incorrect because "as great or greater than" is incorrect. Second issue in A is redundant "is". It doesn't make the choice clearer, rather it makes it wordy. so A is out. B retains the idiom mistake so that's out as well. C corrects the idiom. however, than that of using air...
