K=3 => 1/8
K=4 => -1/16
One way is to use GP and solve it, other one which I found time saving was
1/2 - 1/4 + 1/8 - 1/16 ...
first 2 terms 1/2 - 1/4 = 1/4
Rest terms 1/8 - 1/16 .... < 1/4
Hence answer is between 1/4 & 1/2, i.e. D

A quick scan suggests that A & B are different (without even bothering about C & D)
So if you can discount either A or B, you have the answer without bothering about anything else.
