Thanks for your reply...I have gone through Kaplan, Princeton,OG, Purple Verbal Guide, MGMAT several times and exhausted the material..It is something more than practice and strategy that is needed on the G-day. Not everyone who scores above 650 can score the same if asked to retake the exam... Like...

Gone from 530 to 560....dissappointed!! Give up.

I took first time I got 530, 43,19 and this time 560 with 47,21........The best part is last time I knew I had some things that I needed to improve such as give many full length pratice tests, improve SC, RCs. I studied for 4 weeks only verbal and almost didn't touch Quant except for few days. This ...

stop@800,
I really appreciate your response. However, I would love to see explanations that have grammatical rules to validate them.

I would like experts to comment on. BTW, do you know how to get them to answer me ??

I have asked Stacey in a private message, still to receive her reply.

Thanks.

mastbombay, I appreciate your response. However, my concern is still as stated in my previous post. I understand that "studied" is a past action than "taking the exam", hence, past perfect. But what about the second part. Isn't "understanding" an action that has happene...

stop@800, As far as I remember, "instead of" is used for comparing nouns (person, place , thing). When you have phrases ( or actions) it is better to use "rather than". And that is why only 5th option has parallelism when you choose "rather than". So this statement has ...

stop@800. Can you please clarify further ? Which two actions are you taking about ? Both the actions "studied" and "understanding" are past actions in the sentence. And "did poorly on the test" is the simple past action. So why shouldn't the previous actions in both the...

how many correct questions for a verbal score 35+

Hi. I have been practicing lately to improve my verbal score. I have been scoring consistently 29-32 in the GMATPrep and MGMAT practice tests. I noticed that for the GMATPrep I make mistakes around 14-16 and in MGMAT 18-21. Also, when I review, I realise I could have got atleast 4-5 of them right if...

I was reading the mba.com website and found that they have removed all the questions from live GMAT that were posted on scoretop. If that is the case , does it mean that they have now been left with only those horrible experimental questions with extreme difficulty level which they did not use to gi...

jbdpramod,
can you please explain how did you find the verbal ? since you did not touch RCs and CRs , does it mean you were already confident in them and you did not have to practice ?

Thanks.
