Hi, I have been scoring consistently in high 45s in Mock Quants but due to illness wasn't able to concentrate on the day. Verbal from start has been my weak point. I have tried SC grail, RC grail and CR Bible. CR accuracy is around 75%. SC and RC is 50%. My verbal score in Mocks fluctuated from 30 t...

I scored a nifty 770 (Q50, V44) on the GMAT 2 days ago, 10 points higher than what I scored on any mock test. It’s been a long journey, starting from 590 on the first GMAT Prep and I have learned a few things along the way that I would like to pass along. To be honest, at one point, I was happy w...

Help in Deciphering my ESR
Hi,
It would be great if anybody could have a look at my Enhanced Score Report and suggest a way forward for next 3 months starting Jan 2017.
I think it would be for the benefit of all BTG members to know how to maximise information from one's ESR.

Hi , This time I made sure that the CATs were as realistic as possible including breaks. I generally don't remember questions because I don't attempt to memorise them but try working it out so I don't remember if the questions were repeated. In July when I had posted I had my Test on Aug 31 but due ...

Answer should be C. First thought was answer is E. But really tricky one.. x>y will not tell us anything.. So 1 is insufficient. x2=y2 means (x+y)(x-y)=0 Therefore x+y=0 or x-y = 0 Suppose x-y = 0 which means x=y. we can get equal values for x and y such that xy=70. we get x=y=root(70) [YES] No, su...

Number Properties- help on this DS question
Is xy≤1/2? (1) x2+y2=1 (2) x2-y2=0 here also I chose E but the answer is A Explanation given is (1) x2+y2=1. Recall that (x-y)2≥0(x-y)2≥0 (square of any number is more than or equal to zero). Expand: x2-2xy+y2≥0 and since x2+y2=1 then: 1-2xy≥0. So, xy≤1/2. Sufficient. (2) x2-y2=0. Re-arr...

Number Properties- Hi I need help on these two DS questions
If a, b and c are integers, is abc an even integer? (1) b is halfway between a and c (2) a=b−c I chose E. But the answer is B. The explanation given is a=b−c . Re-arrange: a+c=b. Since it's not possible the sum of two odd integers to be odd, then the case of 3 odd numbers is ruled out, hence at ...
