hmmm, I thought I solved this on the forum before. let's try this again Machine A = $20,000 Machine B = $50,000 Downpayment A = 20,000*20% = $4,000 B = 50,000*20% = $10,000 Remainders A = 20,000-4000 = 16,000 B = 50,000-10,000 = 40,000 Interest = 40% of remaining cost A = 16,000 * 40% = 6,400 B = 40...

If the triangle is inscribed in a circle with....

If CD is the diameter of the circle, does x equal 30? (1) The length of CD is twice the length of BD. (2) y = 60 was one of the question. I know I didn't attach the diagram, but the explanation said "we know that this triangle has a right angle because it's inscribed in a semi-circle, hyp. = di...

I would definitely not skip the AWA. If you had skills to get 6.0 from the previous one, you shouldn't have a problem.

If you had low grade on your AWA and 750 on your GMAT, would you write your essay but skip the GMAT?

Ok, 7/16 inch is the radius, but 1 inch is 2 miles. So we know that actual radius is (7/16)*2miles = 7/8 miles = radius so the area of the circle (7/8)^2*3.14 49/64 * 3.14 since it's estimate, let's round up. 50/65 is 0.8, close enough. round down 3.14 to the closest integer = 3 3x0.8 = 2.4 B You ne...

because you only know the ratio of the BCD, but not compared to the blank area or A. First, do NOT think that diagram is proportion to the actualy size. Let's use your logic. We know that A and B alone is not sufficient, so we'll ignore that. Combining them together, you have Total area - 1600 A - 8...

Re: 11. If W +x <0, is w-y>0?

(1) x+y <0 (2) y<x<w Answer b I got this wrong. why not D for this question? Stem is stating, W + X < 0 W < -X or W > X, asking, is W>Y? 1) x +y < 0 which means x < -Y or -X > Y so we knew that -X is greater than W, and now we know that -X is greater than Y. That doesn't prove that W is greater tha...

The trick to these problems are wording. Don't mis-understand the question when it comes to % greater than, % of.. etc.

I had missed so many questions because it simply ignored the wording of these questions.

what if the one set of the points are on the opposite side of the quadrant?

for example, isn't (1,3) and (-1,-3) have same distance from the origin?

how would that play the role in triangle?
