Hi
I dont think so. In fact it can work positively for you. Schools prefer re-applicants as it shows their commitment to the school. However, you need to have a good second year application which highlights how you have strengthened yourself as a candidate.
Good luck!

How to explain low GMAT?
Hi Accepted team I took GMAT twice but I am circling in the same range of 600s (620 to 640). I have been searching on this forum about the explanations people have given for low GMAT. Many people have used personal problems to justify low scores. Is it okay to do that? The reason I am asking is that...

Dear Eliot Thanks for your reply. I can retake GMAT, but that would mean missing out on the R2 deadlines because I don't think I shall be able to study for GMAT and work on my essays simultaneously. Do you think applying to R3 with a better GMAT will be better than applying in R2 with a low score? T...

3 times unlucky!
Hello Everyone I want to share my tragic story. I have taken the test 3 times and I am still struggling with it. My scores are: 550, I went without studying and didn’t care too much about it. Then I took a break for a year and enrolled myself in Veritas and I ended up with a mere 620! (45 Q, 27 V) T...

Hi Stacy
Thanks for a prompt reply.
If I retake gmat and somehow get a late 600 score then will it strengthen my chances for applying in the schools I desire for?...or do you think continuous retakes in gmat may prove to be more detrimental?
Thanks!
