i just tried to solve it all over again and realised that E is the answer..please correct me if i am wrong. ways to divide a team of 6 students into 3 groups of 2 each = 6!/ (2!)^3 = 90 and now they can be assigned to 3 different topics in 3! ways. Therefore the total number of arrangements = 90 * 3...

To answer your second question, The issue you run into is positive negative - you can't take a square root on both sides because you have to accomodate the negative option - in your example if x^2<4 then -2>X <2. This isn't quite the same for x^2>4 - because here EITHER X>2 or x<-2. The same issue ...

We simply need to know whether the parabola is convex (hill shaped) or concave (u shaped) i.e. whether a < 0 or a > 0 (this will be the case if and only if a <0) If it is hill shaped, y decreases as the distance from x to 1 (the x-coordinate of the vertex) increases. Since the y coordinate correspo...

Co-ordinate Geometry~~

line m and n pass through point (1,2). Is the slope of m greater than the slope of n?

1.) the x-intercept of m is greater than 1 and that of n is less than 1

2.) the y-intercept of m = 4 and that of n = (-2)

OA is D

kindly explains to solve st1 algebraically!!
