Here goes: Distopian industrialists are being accused of promoting an intervention for their benefit. The conclusion says that they weren't promoting an intervention because they actually lost more money ($8B) than they brought in ($4B). We want to weaken the conclusion and can do so by showing the ...

Exactly, then as per "C", #1 has a job offer by both Evco and Radeco. So only assumption left is #1 or #2 were job-less before they applied to Evco OR Radeco. Hence "E" Actually doesn't (C) state #1 would get a job offer from Evco, NOT Radeco and # 2 would get a job offer from R...

I originally picked (E) but see now the why the OA is (A). The passage talks about an increase in the average price for the houses sold. This large sales drop was accompanied by a sharp rise in the average price of new houses sold . Missing SOLD in the passage completely changed my perception of the...

IMO: A What would weaken the plans success? (B) out of scope. the dogs might need training, but could be trained and could be successful. Don't forget, the passage states these are herding dogs (C) out of scope, foxes praying on old and sick geese?? (D) out of scope, even if the dogs are in quaranti...

Re: Evco and Radeco
C is my pick as for all to be offered a job, there must be no intersection in the offers made by Radeco and Evco, in other words no single candidate must get 2 simultaneous offers. Agree w/ Fiver. (A), (D), and (E) are out of scope. Qualifications, applications other than at these two companies, pr...

IMO: (B) The conclusion assumes, produce picked from farms using organic pesticides get to the consumer after enough time has passed for the pesticides to wear off. If enough time has not passed then the pesticides may still be on the produce. I originally thought (A) was the answer but the passage ...

This is a tough one, but IMO: E The passage states reductions in supply of goods and services OR increases in demand will cause inflation. It goes on further to state that in a prebanking economy, the supply of money AND demand are linked to the quantity of gold. Money in this instance is the goods ...

I think we can agree (A), (B), and (C) are out of scope.
I was stuck between (D) and (E). I eliminated (E) because it is slightly out of scope. It talks about overall sales tax when the passage talks specifically about sales taxes paid by restaurants.
What is the OA?

What is the OA?
I agree (A), (C), and (E) are out of scope. (B) is tough but also out of scope since it talks about effects on body systems, not the immune system.
(D) is the only answer left however I'm struggling with raunekk's explanation.

I'm for C too! (A) doesn't link in the mosquitos. The fact that one millipede gets passed around doesn't tell us anything. (B) doesn't link in the monkeys. The fact that the chemicals repel other insects is out of scope. (C) clearly links the monkeys and mosquitos and as mentioned in an earlier post...

Yeah, even I am thinking of the answer to be C. Can anyone clearly validate the reason why D is the correct answer? To eliminate C think of this. 1 token = $0.25, the bridge toll before the increase is $0.25. $10 in tokens gets me 40 bridge crossings. After the increase the bridge toll is $0.50, no...

I also chose E: I was between (D) and (E). Look closely at the wording in (D) and you'll see why it's wrong. IMO: D (A) seems out of scope. My understanding of the "conversion" is to set up a chipper at the logging site, not transfer it back and forth. (B) just seems wrong to me. (C) seems too difinitive. (D) seems to be supported best by the stimulus. If trans cost are calc'd based on volume and...
