E seemed wrong because it said "...over the predominantly female.." the word THE led me to eliminate that as an option b/c it didn't make sense. ???

After boiling down to C & E, I knocked out E because "607 HMO’s were profitable last year" is preferred to "607 HMO’s last year were profitable". IMO: C

Just a general question about this one - would it be correct if it were to say "that of our own planet"? Is "that on" correct? I have trouble distinguishing what's the proper rule re: "that of" and can't really find much online.

I would go with (C) for the following reasons: (i) "with its mouth parts implies you're talking about "the dermestid beetle" vs "dermestid beetles" (so you can knock out choices A & B) (ii) E gets knocked out because it seems wordy to say "and it pulls" (iii) p...

Of the three-digit integers that are greater than 700, how many have two digits that are equal to each other and the remaining digit different from the other two?
