Dino, Yes, in my opinion it was and is as hard to prepare for as the PE exam, so yes - I would know that. Also, no a 700 will not get you automatically into a top business school now, but if you don't get the score it is very hard to get into a top 25 school in 2009's landscape unless you are a mino...

P.S. In todays 2009 field, 650 is BELOW average - 700 is about average at the top 25 schools THIS year......hate to break it to you guys.....

Obviously the guy above has never studied for a professional licensure exam such as the Professional Engineer's exam....I studied nearly a year for it. I am inyour situation....Try the GMATclub tests at gmatclub.com. I got their ecommendation from here. They have helped me greatly and cost 79$. Are you applying to Clemson, Columbia, etc.? I am thinking of doing the same.

Thanks guys! I agree - but would you agree I could argue that the quant is there? I have two engineering degrees from a top 25 US engineering program. I also have a North Carolina professional engineer's lisence and 11 years leadership experience. Dammit I don't wanna take it again! But I will lol.....

Thanks guys. I am going to try and call the admissions office at UNC-Kenan Flagler to see what they think. If I do take it again, do you guys have any recommenders on what could get my Quant score up most effectively?

Tuck, Took my GMAT this morning and got a 650! I got a 55% in quant and a 89% in verb. The funny thing is I'm an engineer. I was wondering what folks could recommend for helping improving my quant score. I am a civil engineer and my quant is killing me! Isnt that wierd? KAPLAN CAT IS SCORED LOWER IS A MYTH
I have been scoring 600 and 610 on my CAT's and just scored a 620 on the GMAT Prep - first one I took. 37 quant and 41 verbal. Why is this moderators? I take the GMAT on Wednesday and I am very discouraged........I have never seen this before on this forum?
