D has passive voice and awkward construction. In E, first of all subject is added and secondly, it is close to the modifier. So E is more appropriate.

If possible can you please post, little bit about your background, study hours, strong/weak areas in SC, CR, RC? How were the questions in actual test compared to GMATPrep?
