IMO E Stmt 1: Tens' digit of A = Tens' digit of B + Tens' digit of C Insufficient - This does not talk about the hundreth digit Case 1: B = 123, C = 321, A = 444 123 + 321 = 444 ------> This eqn satisfies the stmt 1 and also, from this we can conclude that the hundreth digit of A is equal to hundret...

IMO E - This stmt is much more easier to explain with a diagram.Anyways let me try to put this in words. From the question stem, |x-y| > |x-z| Stmt 1: xyz<0 either all must be -ve or any one of the three must be -ve Case 1: All of 'em are -ve Let's say x = -5, y = -1, z = -6. This case satisfies the...

IMO E We are asked to figure out whether 2r+3s<=6 Stmt 1: 3r + 2s = 6 This alone gives no information about (r,s). combining this stmt with the question stem - 3r+2s=6 and 2r+3s=6(taking the max value) solving for r and s, we get (6/5,6/5). But this value is not unique as 2r+3s can also be <6. Say f...

IMO A - Stmt 1: Yvess can work complete the task in 3 hours => marcel can complete the task in 6 hours Sufficient Stmt 2: Let Marcel complete the task in 'x' hrs => Yvess will complete the task in 'x/2' hrs In 1 hr they will complete, 1/x + 2/x part of the task => 3/x part of task in 1 hr => x/3 hrs...

IMO E Stmt 1 - 7x-2y>0 => 7x>2y =>y<7x/2 plug a value : say x=2, since x>0 =>y<7 =>y can be either positive or negative Hence Insufficient Stmt 2 - -y<x => y > -x Plug values : x = 2, since x>0 =>y > -2 =>y can be either positive or negative Hence Insufficient Stmt 1 and Stmt 2 - 7x/2 > y > -x Plug ...

But q(x) can hold a valid value for other values of 'x', say x = 2, 3, 4 ...
I believe the question asks for 'each real number x' and not a specific real number.

If my understanding is correct, then the question asks whether the function p(x)/q(x) is a real number, for all real numbers 'x'. Stmt 1 - We know only the values of the expression p(x) for x = 2 and x = 3.Hence insufficient Stmt2 - We know only the values of expression q(x) for x = 0 and x = 1.Henc...

IMO D - Stmt 1 - Let number of shirts be X and and number of sweaters be Y therefore, (15x + 25y)/(x+y) = 21 =>15x + 25y = 21x + 21y =>4y = 6x =>x/y = 4/6 =>x/y = 2/3 from the above eqn, we can clearly determine that y is greater than x. Stmt 1 alone is sufficient. Stmt 2 - is satisfied for the valu...
