Admissionado helped me get into Kellogg/Yale SOM (with $$$)
I came to Admissionado with big dreams and bad numbers. What can I say? I am just not the best test taker. With a 640 GMAT score and a 3.3 GPA, I know I had the odds set against me, but I wanted to go to a great school, a top-10 school. Julie from Admissionado worked with me to bring out everything ...

Kellogg vs. Yale SOM vs. Haas
I know, it is early to start such a thread considering that I don't have to decide until late February... but I would love to hear people's thoughts so I can see a fuller picture and have more insight going into the admit weekends. So thank you ahead of time for all of your thoughts and help. Before...

As an update to this thread -- as much as I love Stanford, and despite rocking essays, I didn't get an interview there (or HBS) and was dinged from both.
Now I sit and wait for a decision from Yale, Kellogg and Ross.

Oh shoot... I left all my current activities just with no end date (left the box blank). I hope that isn't frowned upon.

Consortium app - anyone else find it limiting?
The Consortium application seems to be pretty limiting -- I mean, 500 characters to sum up all of your extra-curriculars?!
I want to make sure I am not missing anything here. Is anyone else having trouble fitting their application into their tiny spaces?

application vs. resume -- where to put info?
Is your resume supposed to be a reflection of your overall application, or an addendum? To be more specific: 1. Is your resume a highlight sheet of everything you have in your application? Meaning it has the same activities and jobs you mentioned in your application so that it can be a one-sheet sum...

will you scan my resume? please?
Hi consultants, I am not going to ask you to edit my resume, because I know that would be insane. But I am so nervous about my resume (panic mode! panic mode!) that I was hoping one of you would be willing to just scan it really quickly and tell me if this is an applicant you would bring into your [...

Bad GMAT quant, but want to prove I can do math. MOOCs?
I got a 640 on my GMAT, and with the split being 39V/38Q, this unfortunately puts me in the 44th %ile for Math. Yikes. But I want to go to a Top 10 school (crazy, I know), and I know this GMAT score is of no help, so I am hoping to show them I will be ready for b-school math by taking math courses n...

Low Numbers, High Aspirations -- GSB/HBS with a 640?
I already know where I want to go to school -- I really, really want to go to Stanford GSB. I think the GSB program is completely perfect with what I want to do and what I want to learn. I have fallen head over heels for GSB... but the GMAT hates me. Should I even try to apply to these schools with ...

What to wear to an b-school event?
I know this this a silly question, but I thought it was worth asking. Stanford GSB is having an admissions event in my area, and I am actually confused as to what I am supposed to wear. It isn't an interview, just an info session. I work in the tech industry, so jeans and a shirt work well for me, a...

How to shorten a resume?
While only having three years of work experience, I have been on three separate teams within my company as part of a rotation program. Most of my work has been project-based work, meaning my resume is currently a long list of all the projects I have done on these teams and the outcome. For an MBA ap...
