A BIG Thank you to both of you for your responses (Nitin, thanks for the detailed explanation)
stop@800: you mentioned in the current context "show that" is correct, and nitin you alluded to that too.
Is there any condition where: "show .. X .. to be" is ever correct in GMAT?
Hello, This might be a trivial question, but do we always need a " that " after the verb show : for e.g.: ... recent fossil discoveries in Pakistan show that whales, porpoises and tortoises are more closely related .. OR is it OK for the sentence to read as: ... recent fossil discoveries in Pakistan...

Look upon it from the Action (A) and Comedy (C) perspective. Imagine there are 5 time slots - "A" can take any one of the 5 slots, and "C" can take any of the remaining 4 slots. D occupies the remaining 3 slots and order does not matter. Hence the answer is 5 * 4 ?

I am a little confused between "c" and "d". How do we assume that the commuters did not buy enough tokens that could have postponed (for a very long time) the effects of the increase? Although unlikely, nothing would stop commuters from buying 5 years worth of tokens? Also with "D", isn't it possibl...

I chose "B", and couldn't understand the reasoning in the OG. If the international opinion is unanimous against Patria, wouldn't a trade embargo actually succeed, given that all countries will prevent trade with Patria?
I know something is wrong with my reasoning, but dont know what
I think I saw this DS question in a Kaplan book:
Q. What is the value of x/y ?
1. x - y = 14
2. 2x = 5y
The answer is "B", but i did not choose that as I did not
know whether or not x & y were non-zero. Hence did not
get x/y = 5/2. Is something wrong in my assumption?
This is from Kaplan CAT test. I am not sure if its ok to post these here. If not someone let me know
I chose "2" whereas the answer was "4". Can someone help me with this?

Hello, This is indeed a very helpful grid. I was just having a small problem with the grid and was wondering if anyone else did too. If I put the number of questions > 41, it creates the sheet rows correctly, but, all rows after 41 look different/messed up and the timing calculation per row is incor...
