I would say all of the above probably need improvement on my end (strategy, organization, content) but the areas where I have the most trouble are FDP and Number Properties, followed by Algebra and Word Problems. In FDP I often get stuck doing the hand calculations and in Number Properties I miss th...

Quant focused review course/material/plan
Hello, all you GMAT takers! Can somebody recommend a good course or program that's solely focused on improving the Quant performance? I do fairly well on the Verbal part (good enough to not drag a solid Quant score down) but I def need to work on my Quant. I have studied all the MGMAT books and 90% ...

Should I keep studying this way (i.e. take CATs, analyze, practice) or do you recommend taking one of the Empower subscriptions? How much are the score boosters each?
Thanks,

Not yet, I have been saving those for after my first full review and practice cycle. I should be done by this weekend and will take the first of those two in full length mode. However, one other thing I noticed in my MGMAT practice tests is that I generally feel absolutely overwhelmed by the time I ...

Difficult to say but these numbers are from my last three full length CATs combined and derived from the Manhattan GMAT exam analyzer. There were some outliers in parts of SC (such as Verbs, Meaning, and Pronouns) but jotted those down and am working on improving them. However, the rest appeared to l...

Sentence Correction Issue... Advice sought!
Hello, I am having a weird issue with SC questions and maybe some of the experts can help me out here identify a strategy to tackle this: I signed up for a Manhattan GMAT course (self prep) and am now working through the Manhattan answer explanations for SC. well... I think your questions are spot on (although I don't like using those excuses) but I did indeed sleep terrible (because of the test anxiety) the night before the test and took the test at 8 am Saturday morning (big no no, won't do that again) after maybe 4 hours of sleep. even though I didn'...

@Rich: Unfortunately, Kaplan doesn't let me access my previous course results/documents anymore but I scored anywhere between 650 and 700 (they offer 9 CATs if I am not mistaken). I was hoping for a 680 when I took the test and unfortunately scored about 40 points lower. @Brent: I was under the impr...

GMAT Strategy Question
All, I took the GMAT last year and scored a 640 (Q44/V34)with a Kaplan in-person class. For a while I was contemplating to just apply to my top school (Booth - part time) with that score but decided against it and want to retake the GMAT. Since I don't live in a major city, my options are limited to...
