Hi there, Thanks for sharing your background with us. You have a lot of things going for you, but since you're looking at the top tier of the US MBA programs, you should be aiming to hit the median for those schools - so 720+ for the most part. You are in an underrepresented applicant pool, so that ...

Hi there, Your academic stats put you in the conversation at your target programs, however I'd think more about your story. An MBA should do more for you than simply offer you a finance/operational perspective on things. As mentioned above, I'm not sure the recruitment opportunities make sense based...

Hi there,

Unfortunately, that GMAT score won't be competitive even in the part-time program. I would take the summer to prep for another go at the GMAT and apply R1 next season. Best of luck!

Hi there, Thanks for sharing your profile with us - love the details! I like the schools you've targeted - they fit your profile and make sense given your goals. Have you thought about the 1-year programs in the US? Harvard doesn't offer one, and HBS is a stretch for almost any profile, but Kellogg ...

Hi there,

Congrats on your acceptances! I think Cornell is the best option for you. Given your goals and the network Cornell can provide, I think you'll be in great hands. Best of luck!

Hi there, Thanks for reaching out. You have a lot of things going for you, and I like the schools you're targeting. Have you looked into CBS or Booth? Given your goals, these programs might have a lot to offer you. We'd love to chat live if you think that will be helpful - feel free to sign up for a...

Hi rokr44, When do you plan on applying? If you're looking at R1 later this year, I like the list of schools you identified, however if you're looking at R3, your chances go down dramatically. Assuming you're applying in R1, have you had a chance to visit or network with any of these schools? Is you...

Hi there, I think you should consider focusing this year on gaining some solid work experience as that is your big gap at the moment and something the AdComm weighs heavily. Gaining relevant work experience int he HC field will allow you to claim industry knowledge and hopefully get you some strong ...

Hi there, I would take the GMAT one more time, especially if you've only taken it once. Also, you're an older candidate. Most of the schools you're targeting have median ages of 27-29. You'll need a compelling case for why you want an MBA now to answer the AdComms fear of not being able to place you...

Hi there! Thanks for reaching out. Congrats on a killer GMAT score! Also, your academic profile is stellar, so no worries there! Your work experience is solid assuming you've had some good leadership experiences there. Your involvement at your NGO is great as well - not just a member who volunteers,...

Those are two very different jobs with very different skills. I'd encourage you to pick one path you prefer and come up with a detailed plan on how you think each of these schools could help you get there. If you end up going the strategy route, I think GW is the best option for you. Best of luck!

Hi there,

Congrats! I'm always a proponent of going after the best school possible, but it also depends on what you want to do after b-school. What are your goals for your internship and immediately after you graduate?

Hi Rads279, Thanks for the inquiry. To get you a reasonable assessment, I'm going to need a bit more information from you. Everyone wants an MBA to get into the business side - question is, what specifically do you have in mind? Without a specific goal, your story will sound too generic for anyone t...
