Mission I accomplished: 760 (Q50, V41)
Guys, I took my GMAT today and scored 760. Overall a good score - I wanted to score above 750 and glad I achieved my target. I messed up a bit in the AWA section. The answer to how much I messed will be clear when I see the final official score. Advice to GMAT takers - 1) GMATprep - I can not stress...

Thanks Navin, your response is very helpful. The main issue right with me is that I want to apply to all of these schools this year. Since it has been a late decision, I am applying in R3 for the EU B school. However for US B schools, the deadlines have already passed for R2. In my understanding in ...

1) I have "difficulties" in Y1 because I cant do X and I cant do Z 2) I have difficulty in Y2 because I cant do X I cant understand why "difficulty" is preferred over "difficulties". As you can see from example above both of them can be correct. Any clarifications pleas...

I will also go with E. for D, "allows that it can" - is this correct usage? It seems odd and redundant to me. For example - 1) A allows Y to.... 2) A allows that Y can... Which one of the two options is correct? I think option 1 is more concise. Similarly "And so" - seems redunda...

Thanks Tmino, that's an encouraging response. I thought about the schools you have mentioned here. However, the issue I am facing right now is that an MBA in EU, outside UK does not entitle me to work visa benefit which may seriously hamper my prospect of getting a job in the local market. With the ...

One useful method I use to determine this is - The meaning of the sentence is never complete without main clause. Main clause can stand alone on its own whereas a dependent clause can not. Probably you know the above definition already, but see how this is applied to differentiate between the two ty...

Thanks Logitech - I will try to classify the questions and identify my problem areas.
And about the 2-way street suggestion, I do think this forum has been very useful for me and I will start contributing a bit more especially about strategies as soon as my GMAT is over. Its not too far away now.

Logitech, I know I am shameless but I have no idea why I am getting all questions right. Hence if the day is not going great for me I will most probably screw up RC and CR because they are based on judgments. However on the other hand SC has clear rules which I can't seem to decipher. Sarcasm is app...

Need help to improve SC accuracy
I gave my second GMAT Prep test today. The score in this test was also similar (760 - Q50, V42). The score in GMAT prep 1 was (740 - Q48, V42). Both tests have been about 2-3 weeks apart and in both tests my main weakness is SC. Test 1 (5 errors - 4 in SC) and Test 2 (7 errors - 6 in SC) I have spen...

Advice needed for European/UK based B-schools
Hello everyone, I made a decision to pursue MBA in fall 2009 quite late. I am taking my GMAT on 7th Jan and so far the GMAT prep results have looked encouraging with a score 750+ within reach, if do not mess-up on the examination day. Now the question is about applying to B-schools and securing an a...

In B the pronouns "it" and "them" do not have a clear antecedent, whereas in C, this issue in eliminated. Any thoughts?
