I know this is a very simple problem , as per exponent rule says
a^b + a^c not equal to (a)^b+c
So in the attached file how you would get 2^9.

In the xy-plane, line k has a positive slope and x-intercept of 4. If the area of the triangle formed by the line k and the two axes is 12, what is the y-intercept of line k?

6 hrs and 40min converts to 6.66hrs, so divide 6.66 to 24, you get .2777

DS - 9 from T48
Is x > 0 ?
(1) x^2 > 0
(2) x^3 > 0
If you choose x=-2 and then for statement 2 it would be negative because -2^3 would be -8 right, I am not sure what the questions is asking.
