Positive Prep Tests, Poor Actual
Studied for the last two months, racked up 670 and 680 on the GMAT Prep, 670, 670 and 610 on the MGMAT prep, took the actual today and wound up with 610. Highly disappointed and wondering what others think my next step should be...

MGMAT Quant - How realistic of a gage is it?
Finished up the Quant section of the MGMAT CAT and a good portion of the questions on there were significantly harder than any problems I came across in any of the OG books. With that being said, and noting that others have had the same experience, how should I best gage myself against the MGMAT ver...

Application Timing Strategy
The way it is looking right now I'm not going to make 1st round apps for most schools; however, what are the pros and cons of applying 2nd round? Any application timing strategies that you might suggest? I'm not a rock star applicant, but right around the average for most of the schools ranked 11-20.

GMAT Overdose
I have taken the GMAT 6 times to date, albeit hastily in hindsight. I took it the first time 2 years ago with minimal preparation and got a 490, which I followed up by taking a Kaplan class. After the Kaplan class I took it 4 times between June and November of 2007, scoring 570, 560, 590 and 610 res...

Most schools only look at the highest score IF you've taken the exam only twice. Once you hit three or more times, many schools begin to average scores. You should call the school you're interested in to determine its policy. If that was the case wouldn't schools have to indicate such actions? From...

Thank you for your insight. I know Duke and Cornell are definite stretches, and although Yale isn't ranked high, I know it's competitive due in part to being an Ivy. Would you suggest to focus my research and application efforts to schools ranked in the Top 16-25 range, with less brand equity in com...

"Best in Class" Key Strategies
Curious as to what everyone's thoughts are regarding "best in class" key strategies for each question type.
ie. Critical Reasoning:
Read the question, map out the passage in order to identify the assumption, evidence and conclusion and then apply the 'Denial Test'
