Interview location

Hi Stacy/ Lisa, I have a question regarding the preferred location for London Business School interview if and when I get a call. I live in Germany. I think US schools are a bit too far from here but UK is right here. If I choose London over a German city will it help show my interest in attending t...

Thanks!!

Hi Lisa, I just got my GPA evaluation. The GPA is 3.44. Does this together with GMAT of 740 leave no cause for worry on purely quantitative side. I am working on my essays and hope that they are stellar at the end but was just curious whether the GPA of 3.44 pose some kind of doubt somewhere or is i...

A question about career goals

Background info about my question: I have a long term goal of contributing in a big way (by being in a strong position such as a general manager) to global ties between India and other countries. I know I need to stress not much on India but more on the global ties. I have my 7 yrs in Germany and my...

Thanks for the great downloads abhishek. What is the source of Manhattan GMAT Archive? Are they in anyway related to the MGMAT Tests??? Do they target the Quant 48+ level Q's??? I don't remember where I got this Manhattan Maths Archive from. I think it was from BTG or some other forum or google. An...

More files

Hi,

Flashcards were posted by Eric.

I don't remember where I got the Maths file.

Anyway, here they are.

Also, a very useful file on Probability and Combinations.

AWA Scores

Got a 5.5 in AWA. It is ironic that I improved from 660 to 740 but dropped from a 6 in AWA to a 5.5. Anyway, it is not all that bad.

Here are few strategy notes/ files.

Following files are attached herewith: 1. Strategy for different kinds of problems: Might not be anything new and say the same things as Kaplan and Manhattan but gave me a quick overview (1 page) for dealing with different questions in CR and RC. 2. Tracking progress OG: I used this file to gauge my...

Hi Stacy/ Lisa, I gave GMAT again last week as advised by you in August. You had told me that I have a strong application and I could stand out in the applicant pool (Indian male, Engineer) because of the following reasons: 1. I have done not Software Engineering but Mechanical Engineering. 2. I hav...

740 (Q50,V40) Did I beat it??? Strategies and files update

Hi GMATters, I am writing this debrief not to show off but because the debriefs have helped me. Also, I can identify with people who feel the pain of failing once. First attempt: I put in a lot of hard work for 4 months studying religiously every single day. I had till last year been having a succes...

Hi John, I had exactly the same experience. After getting 700+ in all my GMATPREP, POWERPREP, Princetion, 800Score tests, I could manage only a 660 on G-Day. My Verbal got screwed. I don't even know what went wrong. I thought I did well on this section. My practice test scores wer always 38-42. In t...

Don't want to confuse you but it is true that GMAT problems are quite a bit harder than OG and also a bit harder than GMATPrep. Be prepared for a first hard question on math. It was not mid level, it was hard in my case. I also got nervous actually. Would not be a bad idea to browse through Kaplan80...
