The number of questions right or wrong are inputs to your GMAT raw score (Q40 and V39) which in turn determine your scaled scores. I h...

At this stage there are 2 areas of improvement: a. Questions you goofed up because you lack basic knowledge such as formula, grammar rules. b. 1 thing you might want to know is that GMATPrep repeats questions from the OG so your scores would be slightly inflated.
Secondly you search the forum for questions that have been gleaned from GMATPrep - that would prove to be useful too - especially expose you to tougher questions.

So I would be surprised to see someone score a 41 with a below than average written English. Though I cannot comment on this candidate I would be very suspicious. I think the best option is t...

"to form" - shows intent
"forming" - is a cause and effect relationship.
Example:
>> The manufacturer fits it with a special adhesive to form an extra layer of protection.
>> The calcium deposits around the rock forming a natural defense.

Sorry to hear that Nishant! But more important is that you have realized what went wrong and am sure will be able to fix it next time you take.
Since R2 deadlines would anyway be over, my suggestion is to space it out and make sure you are scoring well before you take it again.
All the best!

I liked that:
1. You stuck to a template
2. Were short and crisp
I wished that:
1. You write without using too many jargons (at somepoint I had to re-read)
2. In the penultimate paragraph giving data points that could have helped strengthen the argument.
