650 (Q46/V34)
I wrote today, and did not do as well as I'd hoped. That said, I probably will not re-write it. I think the score is decent, and my background and application will have to make up the difference lacking in my score. My only concern is that my verbal is quite low, and my background is Engineering. Th...

Thanks for the advice guys. Last question -- what's good brain food for the last supper? I'm trying to plan my supper before the big day meal. Any suggestions?

Upcoming test date
My test is coming up this weekend. I"m not going to lie -- I'm nervous about this for some reason. ANy advice to calm the jitters? Especially DURING the exam -- which I know will affect me.

Potentially dumb question
This might be a really silly question, but I'm looking for more exams. I've taken a Kaplan prep course, and completed the 8 exams included in the course. But I want to try other CAT exams -- specifically Manhattan GMAT.
Where can I get Manhattan GMAT exams? Do I have to sign up for the course?

Guys, I don't want to sound harsh here, but why the heck are you going through a second MBA? Did you do poorly on your first attempt? I can't imagine any good reason for going through this again, nor do I see how it would make you more competitive. As an engineer, getting two engineering degrees, or...

very cool -- thanks folks! I will troll the internet for a "one spiral-bound packet of 5 pieces of legal sized (8.5 x 14 inches) yellow laminated graph paper and one pen". I will let you know where you can buy something like this online, unless someone has already gone through the effort.....

Wet erase booklet and special wet erase pen
Folks, I just kicked off day 1 of studying for my GMAT-- I took the Kaplan 2005 diagnostic test, and got a 570!, so I took a (well deserved?) break and found this site. FYI -this resource is superb, and helped me understand, and sift through what's important and what isn't -- so thank you. I was goi...

Unusual experience
Hi Stacy -- hoping you could provide some comments on my situation which is a bit unusual: GPA is a low A, and I'm studying for GMAT right now (should be 670 based on past exams for arguements sake). My resume is a bit unusual. I did my undergrad in Electrical Engineering, and worked as a Network En...
