Jay's method is the best...Still
Select 2 position from the total positions = 5C2
Assume that in the above position always Meg is ahead of the other
and the rest position can be filled in 3*2 ways
so total no of ways in which Meg finished before Bob
5C2 * 3* 2
and hence = 60

It is D.
1. 500n = 1/16[500(n)(n+1)]
16*500n = 500(n)(n+1)
divide both sides by 500(n)
16 = n+1 and hence n=15
2. 500(n)(n+1) =$120,000
n^2+n-240=0 = n^2+16n-15n+240 = 0 (n cannot be negative) and hence n will be 15.

I think the answer should be C.
WE need
($212,000*x + $194,000y) / x + y
and only with both the statements we can exactly find the assessed values of X+Y

Just my CALL.. IMO A Country A B C D E F Reps 41 1 2 3 4 34 Since 1 country sends 41 members, and A sends the maximum number of members..its has to be A who sends 41 members..if we keep the lowest most number of reps for other countries. B option is ruled out..since if A sends 11 members (Max) total...
