But the initial choice indicates "ability of scientists" to be accurate.
Also "scientists have become able to provide ever more accurate....." sounds awkward......

It might sound irrational, but is it true that if one takes GMAT in USA as compared with the one who takes it in another country can result in a different difficulty level of Verbal questions. GMAT prep : value of v
My understanding was :
vw=v^2
v^2-vw=0
v(v-w)=0
hence v can be either 0 or w.
Then why Statement 1 is sufficient to decide whether v=0 or not?

"...picked from his garden" is follwed by "in a vase" which implies that "garden in a vase". Hence incorrect construction
A, D & E are out
B implies is wordy and awkward.
C is the best choice
Hence answer is C
