Recognizing disguised quadratics in problems (generally)
Hi Guys,
reviewing the perversities of quadratics, I was curious as to if there is a list/sample of the most commonly rephrased equations
for example,
(36/b) = b-5
or
3w^2 = 6w
maybe a small collection of equations that can be rewritten as clear quadratic equations?

Exponent problem (Manhatten ALGEBRA pg 45 #9)
9) If m and n are positive integers and (2^18)(5^m) = (20^n), what is the value of m?
Open ended, no selections to choose from.
Could you outline each step in words? THANKS!

some components of the quant stick like glue, others are disposed in short term memory. it's aggrivating

Having trouble retaining some info...Manhatten approach
maybe someone could help me supplement my studying; at this time, I am doing roughly an hour a day in the Manhatten guides, be it reading, chapter problems, or corresponding O.G./Quant samples provided in the appendix. I am having difficulty with a few topics- exponents, quadratics mostly. Certain t...

OG Quant #163
[(8^2)(3^3)(2^4)]/(96^2)
i understand the concept of breaking down 96^2 in terms of the numerator, but how do you factor it appropriately? maybe I'm missing a simple concept, but the answer is vague in the explanations section.
thx

Got my Manhatten set and OG13.....
Now all that remains is the body of work (studying!) Going to read through the Roadmap text before anything; from there I will be taking on two complimentary books at a time. By this, I will be able to take a congruent mix of practice questions in the OG13 to check how I'm faring. Does this strat. s...

In the meantime, all I hace is Quant Review (OG). Would you recommend I start by reading this selection and actively doing the practice sets?
I will try to conjur up a hard plan once I get the package

in an attempt to not be overwhelmed with the Manhatten collection, does it come with a prudent study guide for a 3 month period, or roughly speaking, that span of time?
