Do you think it's wise to join an MBA program that is not in the top-30 just because they offer a scholarship? would you recommend it?

You can ask him to take a look at some MBA recommendation examples, just to get the sense of what should a good b-school LOR look like - the language, use of examples etc.

I think you can inform them, why not? let them know that Haas is your 1st choice and gently ask for an update regarding your application.

I see what you mean, as an entrepreneur you start as founder/CEO and can't be promoted. I guess in that case you just need to show the successful progress of your company and the actions you took to make it successful.
