thanks, I also thought "I do" better but didnt know why really :) Stuart, what about the below 2? is "do I" a true way to state this? Thanks She runs faster than do I. She runs faster than I do. It's gramatically correct, but a more poetic/archaic phrasing - something less likely...

Stuart, what about the below 2? is "do I" a true way to state this? Thanks She runs faster than do I. She runs faster than I do. We can only compare actions to actions or people to people. We can't compare a person to an action. So, "she runs faster than me" is comparing how she ...

say M = xy
say N = yx
thus: M + N = (10x + y) + (10y + x) => 11x + 11y = 11(x+y)
So you should look for a number which 11 is a factor of. only 181 does not satisfy this hope it helps.

with this kind of profile, I believe it is OK. But if you have some hours to dedicate you can easily take your score over 600 I think. But if you dont feel like retaking, then it is OK

yep, I am trying to be optimistic, thank you for your motivation...hopefully I'll break the 700 :) ETS doesn't conduct GMAT, so there has to be some changes in the way GMAT scores you. (perhaps thats why the s/w is new & changed now) (dont quote me though :lol: ) But superficially they are same....

Yes I know that, but when I took the exam back in 2005, while it was still ETS, my actuall 640 score was really close to what I got from Powerprep trials. And I understand that many people get close to their scores with GMATPrep on the real thing, I just need a comment about if you think GMATPrep re...

GMATPrep too optimistic? Prep1: 710 P2: 720 PrincetonC2: 680
The reson I believe GMATPrep being optimistic is that I make so many mistakes it makes me believe that scores are not reflecting the truth. I'd be grateful if you can provide some comments on them My scores: PowerPrep CAT1: 670 Q: 51 V: 28 (I just began my verbal studies when I took this) Q: All 28 ...

In addition, "As she was leaving the bank, Evelyn's purse was stolen " stating the sentence in this shape may very well mean some other girl was leaving the bank as Evelyn's purse was stolen. Thus in that case "she" has no antecedent at all. please correct me if I am wrong. Prono...

I agree with 1)E and 2)B 1) the patterns of stress that girls experience.....more likely to result in depression than .... result in depression. when you see it like it, it seems obvious to me that the answer is E. since you compare "the results of" the patterns of stress of girls (yea wei...

Difference between "the more than" and "more
Hi, I really get confused by those two phrases. What is the particular difference in meaning and in grammatical point of view? :roll:
ie.
he set free the more than 500 slaves
he set free more than the 500 slaves
Any in depth explanation is appreciated. Thanks!
