Thanks ! I've already spent my scores to HBS, and Wharton for Full-time, and Booth, Kellogg and Tepper for Part-time. Based on some videos I found, looks like I belong to the most competitive category when it comes to MBA admissions - Indian Male Engineer! I'm undecided between part-time and full-ti...

I just Beat the GMAT today! Had a 710 last time - It was V35/Q50 last time. Verbal went up to 42, and the total to 760. 6 on IR. AWA - TBD. Hopefully that increases my chances in some of the top schools. Any suggestions on the best shot? Indian Engineer, IT professional, senior non-managerial role a...

Abhi131 - Are you sure V35 and Q45 was a 710? I have a friend that took the test last week and with the same verbal/quant breakdown scored a 660? If you scored a 710 with the same score I will let them know that there could potentially be a mistake? My bad. It's V35/Q50. I re-checked. Thanks for po...

Got the official scores today:
Verbal 35
PS 45
AWA 6
IR 8
Are there ways and means to know some schools pay more attention to PS than to verbal and vice versa. How helpful will the IR and AWA score be in making my candidature stand out?

Just beat the GMAT, scored a 710, was hoping for a little better. Some sentence correction questions were REALLY tricky, and I guess RC continued to be my weakness at the test again. Thinking of taking the test again. How good is 710 in terms of chances of getting to Ivy League schools? Congrats th...

If you are Indian and have a non stellar profile (top 10% of class in a top engg school, differentiated work ex) chances are average. You got it right. I am Indian, and not really top 10%. What else will make for a 'stellar' profile is what I have to find out. Or my best bet might be another shot, ...

The difference between the price in the two states is because of the tax only. So, if t1 > t2, p1 has to be greater than p2.
Hence, A alone is enough.

Draw a line through C parallel to the y-axis intersecting the x-axis at D, and then join C and O.
You will see that COD is an isosceles right angled triangle, with the two sides as r. And the hypotenuse as k. For a right angled isosceles, k = r*sqrt(2).

There are 12 distribution centers, so the number of colors that the company uses should be enough to make at least 12 different combination, or more. Hence >= 12. Choosing 4 colors can only make 10 combinations, and 5 can make more than 12. So 5 has to be the answer.

Basing partly on the previous answer, abc should be a factor of 35 and leaving a remainder of 2 always. we know that the difference between consecutive terms will be 35. Let's now find the first and last terms. Mental calculation yields - first term is 35*3+2 = 107. For the last term, divide 999 by ...

Agree with the answer above.
This is how I look at it.
Let's say the first three socked picked come out to be different colors. Regardless of what color sock comes out last, there will already be one that matches. Hence, probability will be 1.
