if the Q is "starting at the same time", then i doubt your answer is the correct one. But if it is "starting from the same point", then it is correct.

Well this problem can be easily solved by way of elimination. All the options other than A serves to weaken the argument. Only A (though a very feeble premise) somewhat validates the argument.

My Choice B. Since the experiment doesnt conclusively prove what the scientists wanted to prove "that the butterflies map acc to the magnetic fields", but will be a step towards that.

ohh man! I was really scared...my kaplan scores never went above 600. Though the quant questions are very simple the practice tests are pretty tough..i gave 3 of them and couldnt cross even 600..thanks for the reassurance.
