Triangle, exterior angles.
Hello there, I came across this fairly simple problem on GMAT quantitative review (DS #117) Which states the following: In triangle ABC, what is the length of side BC? 1)Line segment AD has length 6 2)x=36 The image attached should provide the useful information So the book says, that the exterior a...

Are we really sure? XY>0 issue
Hi guys, I came across this easy DS problem on the Official Gmat Quant. Review, #80. it states the following: if xy>0 is (x-1)(y-1)=1? 1)x+y=xy 2)x=y I'am not going to go through the first statement, but rather, I would like to draw your attention towards statement number 2. if x=y , then the express...

Thanks Brent!
This is also the solution provided by the Official guide...But I was wondering why my method doesn't work in this case.
The number of numbers is still 100 in the sequence , even if the numbers are reciprocals of integers and hence fractions. So...?

Arithmetic Estimation (sum of consecutive intergers)
Hi everyone, I found this "simple" problem in the OG13 pretty annoying; it states the following; M is the sum of the reciprocals of the consecutive integers from 201 to 300 inclusive. Which of the following is true? A) 1/3 <M 1/2 B)1/5<M<1/3 C)1/7 <M< 1/5 D) 1/9 < M < 1/7 E) 1/12 <M< 1/9 S...

540 score. stuck on Maths (MGMAT books)
Hi everyone, I need a little bit of guidance on how to reach a 680 score. I started to study for the gmat in May, stopped in August, and then started again in November. I went through all of the MGMAT books (both verbal and quantitive) and the exercises in each chapter. I took my first diagnostic te...

Finite number of nonzero digits.
Hi everybody, Since I am not a native english speaker I sometimes find hard to really figure out what a question is asking me. For instance, let's take Data Sufficiency #80 in the OG13.: If r and s are positive integers, can the fraction r/s be expressed as a decimal with only a finite number of non...
