Knewton if I have a 690?
I am looking to cross the magic finish line 4 weeks from now. I've taken the GMAT twice (mainly self study and quant tutoring) - 680/690. I've never taken a systematic course before. Wondering if the Knewton course would be doable (I have a full time job) over the next month and whether that's the m...

Sentence Correction Help! Going from V40 - 45
I recently took the GMAT and scored a 41V. I felt least sure about the sentence correction. I'm a native speaker and have studied - but I'm finding it hard to commit the obscure rules to memory. What do you all recommend for going from V41- 45? I've got a month before I take it again. I've looked at...

Help an Old Guy Get to 720 from 680?
I just took my GMAT and scored a 680 (Q42, V41). I am not displeased with my score as I am a 31 year old non traditional who has done self-study. I am a Native Speaker and the verbal was lower than most of my practice exams (think I messed up the timing toward the end). But I also know I'm capable o...

Factoring Question
Can someone explain how you simplify #1 to #2? Can't seem to see how they arrived at the simplification in #2.
1) x(x-1)^2 + 5(x-1)^2 = 0
2) (x+5)(x-1)^2 = 0

Financing an MBA with a family?
Anyone out there done a full-time program with a family? I'm in the throws of studying for the GMAT but trying to figure out how in the world to make it work financially. It doesn't sound like federal loans are normally sufficient enough to cover both tuition and living expenses, health insurance, e...

Non-Profit Consulting?
I'm coming from a non-profit background (my niche is religious non-profits). I have a great heart for these organizations and after working in the industry for a number of years, realize the deep need for financial, managerial, and strategic consulting within the industry. So many of these grassroot...

How Focused Do You Need to Be?
I have a non-traditional background (non-profit and a start-up). I have lacked mentorship opportunities in the small shops I've worked and much of my on-the-job training has been "learn as you go/trial and error". An MBA would be invaluable for giving me the skills and networking opportuni...
