Hi Everyone, I spent quite some time in solving some Gmatprep question only to figure out later on this forum that both questions were missprinted... very annoying indeed. thanks, it's indeed unbelievable. i already started to doubt about my reading skills. browsing around, this is already the second misprint i encountered.
anyone knows of gmac updating gmatprep once and a while?

Thanks codesnooker, I agree with your calculation.
However, how did you arrive at 3^((4n+2)+m)?
I cannot make this out of the question stem, I read that the n could be n as in stat1 or m as in stat2...

I think this can be solved as follows: There are 3 groups of students since no one failed both tests: 1) pass w and fail p = 30% (given) 2) fail w and pass p = a 3) pass w and pass p = b Statement 1 is not sufficient because you can only compute the number of students in group 1 with it --> answer B...
