A line with -ve slope y= -x/6 + C ; depending on value of C it can lie in II,I and IV quadrants or II,III or IV quadrants and If C=0 then it lies in II and IV quadrants. Therefore in any case it cuts QII therefore 1. is suficient Now a line y= m*x -6 may or may not cut QII depending upon the value o...

Why r u splitting 36 into 4*9, 8^36= XXXXXXXX6 after the repetition of 9 cycles. I will approach this problem differently 8^36=( 6+2)^36 and now doing its binomial expansion and looking for remainder all members except 2^36 are divisible by 6 now 2^36=8^12= ( 6+2)^12 repeating the same we will get 2...

9c3 = no. of ways to select 3 dogs out of 9
3c1 = no. of ways of selecting one sledge out of 3
Therefore total no. of ways to apply a team of three dogs in first sledge
= 9c3* 3c1
for second set of dogs
= 6c3*2c1
for third set
= 3c3*1c1
Therefore total ways = 9c3*3c1+6c3*2c1+ 3c3*1c1

We can see that 40% is in middle of of 50% and 30% , in weighted avg. when both the coefficients are same (a*50% + a*30%)2 mean would fall exactly in between the two numbers i.e. a*40%. Therefore equal quantities of 30% and 50% solution must have been mixed, and to make it equal 1/2 of the qty. of o...

10x/(x+y) + 20y/(x+y) = K
(10x+20y)/(x+y) =K
(10(x+y) + 10y)/(x+y) = k
10 + 10*y/(x+y) = K
Now, second term on LHS is less than 10 therefore , 30 is out
y/(x+y) can't be less than 1/2 as x<y therefore only option left is 18.
