perfect explanation anurag :) Statement 1 : two cases (odd< N < Odd ) and (odd < N < Even) No of odd values tht N can take varies. Hence Insufficient. Statement 2 : Even no of numbers between two extremes. therefore there should be equal no of odd and even nos. 12 odd and 12 even. hence sufficient.

Does parallelism apply in this sentence ??
And is generally used in sentences as connectors and maintain parallelism.
But here, 2 statements in different time frames are discussed and hence they cannot be parallel.

there's catch in these kind of problems.
Once you combine both equations, you solve and get multiple answers.
It is important to ELIMINATE All possible wrong answers.
We know Coins can always be Positive numbers. Hence using the relation between B and C we can eliminate.
