Well, my career goal is to switch to a career in Operations Management.

I'm engaged to a US citizen and will be quitting my job and moving to the states soon. That's why I believe this is the best time for me to get an MBA in order to step into the business world.

Well, I have already started working on my essays and I'm jotting down new things about myself and my experiences in my diary almost daily. If I continue this way, meeting R1 deadlines for a majority of my target schools shouldn't be too difficult, I hope. Of course, this is my opinion and I would c...

23 August good enough for Round 1 application?

Hi. I had earlier scheduled my GMAT for 28 June. The plan was that I would get a decent amount of time to prepare my apps for R1. I also had my CFA L1 exam on 3rd June and had very little time left to prepare for the GMAT. Consequently, I have rescheduled my GMAT to 23rd August. Although I did resch...

How is it that you feel that it'll be relatively easier for you to get into MIT than to get into Johnson? Shouldn't it be the other way around?

Are you an international applicant?

Hi. I'm an Indian applicant and from what I know, most schools do not want you to convert your scores into GPA. Columbia is one school which actually states that you should convert. Anyways, I think if you do decide to convert, it is best to use the World Education Service (WES). Google is your frie...

2. Yes. Completely. Intangible gains are entirely subjective thus not very convincing. How exactly will you PROVE that you gained respect? Hmm. Well, we have three categories of promotion; below-normal (5 years), normal (4 years), and outstanding (3 years). I was promoted under the outstanding cate...

Thanks for the reply, Jon. Actually I'm also thinking the same. In fact, I think I should use my participation in the CFA program as an added spice for my 'consulting' or 'general management' story. Something like 'I have a technical background and that coupled with an added knowledge of finance thr...

All I did was refer extensively to the 'notefulldotcom' videos on youtube. The guy Joseph over there was...
