Well, my career goal is to switch to a career in Operations Management.
I'm engaged to a US citizen and will be quitting my job and moving to the states soon. That's why I believe this is the best time for me to get an MBA in order to step into the business world.

Well, I have already started working on my essays and I'm jotting down new things about myself and my experiences in my diary almost daily. If I continue this way, meeting R1 deadlines for a majority of my target schools shouldn't be too difficult, I hope. Of course, this is my opinion and I would c...

23 August good enough for Round 1 application?

How is it that you feel that it'll be relatively easier for you to get into MIT than to get into Johnson? Shouldn't it be the other way around?
Are you an international applicant?

Hi. I'm an Indian applicant and from what I know, most schools do not want you to convert your scores into GPA. Columbia is one school which actually states that you should convert. Anyways, I think if you do decide to convert, it is best to use the World Education Service (WES). Google is your frie...

Well, we have three categories of promotion; below-normal (5 years), normal (4 years), and outstanding (3 years). I was promoted under the outstanding cate...

Thanks for the reply, Jon. Actually I'm also thinking the same. In fact, I think I should use my participation in the CFA program as an added spice for my 'consulting' or 'general management' story. Something like 'I have a technical background and that coupled with an added knowledge of finance thr...

Just like many Indian students here, I too was facing a similar dilemma. I decided to play it safe and go for TOEFL. TOEFL is not all that difficult either. 10 days of practice was enough for me. All I did was refer extensively to the 'notefulldotcom' videos on youtube. The guy Joseph over there was...
