Thank you to both of you.
I kind of get it now. I guess the test writer used 'distinguish' that's synonymous with 'discern'.
The fact that they have two items, i.e. 'discrete sounds' and 'words', separated by the conjunction 'and', made me second-guess myself after picking that answer.

DISTINGUISH X AND Y appeared in correct answer (OG12 #51)
Based on the Manhattan SC guide and various posts on forums, I understand that the following forms are correct for DISTINGUISH: - DISTINGUISH X FROM Y - DISTINGUISH BETWEEN X AND Y However, I found that in OG12 #51, the correct answer actually contains a version of the 'DISTINGUISH' idiom that is in...

Hi Uli, I've heard of Pascal as well. My ex-colleague had a couple of sessions with him. Apparently Pascal (I think he's French) scored 800, so I guess he's not too shabby. I have no info on the quality of his classes. You may want to try Manhattan 's online classes. I'm currently finishing my onlin...

Congrats on the amazingly high score! 51V, wow!
Did you read PowerScore CR Bible as well? If so, is it worth it to read the LSAT LR Bible if I've studied the CR Bible?

Congratulations! I wouldn't worry if I were you. 710 is a solid score. If your AWA score is good, and the rest of your application is solid, 710 should get you into the top 10 schools.

Update: Just got AWA score of 5.5. Very happy with it. Seems like all clues point to my stamina. I'll address that by always practising with AWA.
Still waiting for further input on resources on tough quant questions.
