If Laura's ability to write 'believable' advertising spam on forums is a reflection of her consulting value, she clearly isn't even worth considering.

Why do we care what this guy thinks?
Unless he has actually studied at each school, presumably his opinions are nothing more than a summary of the business school dogma that you see everywhere on the internet.

Thanks guys, seems like an easy choice. LBS it is
I am a bit perplexed however as to why IESE always seems so discouraged in the internet community/forums. Seems like a great school, the only reasons i can come up with are lack of Alumni and the fact that its in Spain

Gotcha, thanks.
As I already earn more than the typical post-MBA income for the schools, I was hoping it would be a helpful attribute to my applications

Do you guys post your basic salary only, or include bonus as well?
I work in finance, and get a bonus of 100%+, so feel like i really should include it in order to demonstrate my income

MBA Vs Start Up Mentor
HI All Recently I have been considering, given my interest in entrepreneurship and strategy, whether or not it would be more worthwhile spending 2 years working with a 'proven' mentor at a start up. There are lots of start ups out there being run by guys who have played major roles in some of the re...

I would be very interested to hear about general opinions on the course quality, student quality, workload and fun factor of being at IESE! Best and worst aspects?
Any info appreciated! Thanks

MBA Recognition in Asia - Europe vs USA
Hi All I am a Brit looking to do an MBA in the UK or Spain, at one of the top Euro bus schools (possibly HKUST too). To date I have ruled out the US as i dont want a 2 year course, and I really don't like living in America. Upon graduation I will most likely head to East Asia. Do people know what ge...

Thank you - your opinion is in line with my expectation then.
I am in a conundrum because I really fancy the programs/experience at IESE or IE, yet not sure how much benefit those MBAs will be to my career options

LBS is an excellent school for finance. But that doesn't mean everyone who graduates takes up a finance role. With LBS, you get access to all the opportunities that London can provide. And that includes marketing roles as well. So if you think you have a competitive profile to get in (and you don't...

Thanks, I wasn't referring to INSEAD specifically. As far as I'm aware a minimum of 2 languages is a pre-requisite for applying to INSEAD, so I cant apply anyway. Languages are clearly gonna be advantageous, but good to know lack of them is not an app killer for top schools - this was really my ques...

Verbal vs Quant Weights
I understand that historically verbal has carried a bigger weight than quant. Is this still the case?
Do people think that the new GMAT format coming in June will change this dynamic?
