Hi Kevin, But there are a few too many errors--such the misused "not only...but also" structure at the end of paragraph 2, and the run-on sentence beginning the third sentence--to rate a 6. Eli, would you mind telling me which run-on sentence you referred to? Don't run-ons usually occur w...

Essays from Non Natives - are GMAT Readers kinder?
Hello, I learned from various resources that the GMAT Readers are apparently kinder when they evaluate essays from non natives. First of all: Is that true? In case it is: How do they determine whether someone is native or not? I am German. However, I moved to the USA 6 months ago. Will I still "...

10 more days to go - Please rate my first AWA!
I so far mainly focused my preparation on IR, Quant and Verbal. After reading ARCO's "GMAT ANSWERS - to the real essay questions", I tried to tackle my first AWA today. Please rate it so I can get a feel, how much more time I should dedicate for AWA in the last remaining 10 days. Question:...

Thank you very much for your answers. I usually go to the gym during lunch break hours. In the 10 days before my exam I'll change that to the evening hours, as suggested. Do you think Piracetam is still worth taking, although I am so close to the appointment? Can you get that stuff in a local pharma...

Any advice on how to cope with morning groggyness?
Hey there, My GMAT exam is finally coming up August 23rd. I scheduled it for 8:00 AM. Usually I would consider myself to be a night owl. I think that my mental awareness unfortunately reaches its peak at 10 PM. I've got the impression that this is daylight related. The darker a room is, the easier i...

Partially correctly answered questions
Kevin, When I take MGMAT CATs I score in a devastating 3-5 range (< 30 percentile)... I feel like the timing is way harder than on the Quant/Verb parts.. especially the table analysis always consumes about 4-5 minutes. I definitely agree with you. This stuff is really tough. Check out Stacey Koprin...

How could you possibly get questions "partially" right on a multiple choice test? IR doesn't only consist of multiple choice questions. However, there are several problems that consist of several questions... so you can miss some questions while answering others correctly. Just look at a ...

Partially correctly answered questions
Hey, is it public information whether partially correctly answered questions yield any score? When I take MGMAT CATs I score in a devastating 3-5 range (< 30 percentile). I answer most of the questions correctly, however sometimes I miss one question in a challenge that consists of several questions...

When should one feel ready to take the test?
Hey, I am planning to apply for MBA classes that start Fall 2013. Consequently I am not really under any time pressure and have been studying for the past couple of months. My practice exam scores (1st GMATPrep, 2 MGMAT) are all in the 700-750 range (Q: 50, V: 41). However, I don't feel ready yet. E...

Article sources to practice RC?
Hey guys, as many of you I am currently preparing for the GMAT exam. So far Reading Comprehension seems to be my only real problem (I recently emigrated to the US from Europe and consequently I am rather used to articles in my mother tongue). I am not on a certain time limit. I would like to take th...
