camitava gave you an excellent explanation. 1) "..according to recent polls, x is still a goal of a majority of young adults such as earlier generation" - no you cannot say this because 'earlier generation' is not an example of young adults. 2) "LIKE can be used two between two nouns ...

Here are some tips for the FAQ: i. The number of questions you get wrong has very little bearing on your final score, you can make 12 - 14 mistakes on the quant portion of the test and still end up with a q48 or q49! The verbal section is a bit less forgiving, but it's still possible to do very well...

I don't think it's impossible to get 650+ by focusing almost exclusively on the quant questions in the OG. I had a fair bit of trouble with the later questions in the OG and decided to not look at any more difficult questions (Kaplan 800, MGMAT CAT's etc.) to keep my confidence, and I managed to do ...

That's true, the OG11's diagnostic test has some of the harder questions in the entire book. Don't worry too much if you're just starting out and are making a lot of mistakes. There will however be questions similar to these in the actual GMAT, especially if you're doing well,so it's best you famili...

What was your answer pick?

A 'shield' is not a 'method' - agreed? so, A and B are out.

'As a protection of' is completely ungrammatical, so strike D out.

Choice E, the 'to protect' form following a comma isn't correct either.

Therefore, answer is C.

MGMAT CAT's do not have experimental questions. The number of questions you get wrong is not nearly as important as the difficulty level of the questions you're getting wrong....I've gotten a q49 with 13 mistakes on my second GMATPrep test (which incidentally does have experimental questions), so a ...

Your understanding is correct! There are indeed 2 actions occurring in the past here, no?

Earlier in the year: Fears of a recession.

Some time ago: Perhaps a recession will be avoided?
