1. (5^x) - ( (5^x)/(5^3) ) = 124 (5^y)
2. ( (5^x)(5^3) - (5^x) ) / 5^3 = 124 (5^y)
3. (5^x) ( (5^3) - 1 ) = (124)(5^3)(5^y)
4. (5^x)(124) = (124)(5^3)(5^y)
5. 5^x = (5^y)(5^3)
6. X= Y + 3
7. Y = X - 3
8. Answer: C
